NLC Mission Action Group

Thank you for visiting the Mission page of New Life Church New Milton. Its aim is to inform, stimulate, encourage and resource people into mission, locally, nationally and internationally.

We hope you will enjoy exploring this page if you have any enquires then please drop an email to Peter Parslow, Peter is our Elder responsible for “mission”. peter@newlifenewmilton.org.uk

Involvement in mission locally, nationally and internationally overseas is not just for the chosen few or specialist. It is the privilege and responsibility of every Christian disciple to respond to the command of Jesus’ to go and make disciples of all nations.

Through our mission education programme in church and Home Group we will endeavour to encourage your involvement in a variety of ways including, short term mission trips, serving as a sender, giving and praying. As a personal first step why not explore the Global Connections website www.globalconnections.co.uk to broaden your horizons, then come and have a chat with us.

Our primary areas of involvement and support

Andy & Jenni Stevens - Elder

Andy & Jenni Stevens

OMF as Area Mobilisers.
What this means is that they are responsible for recruitment of new members for East Asia, church relations, mentoring of enquirers, conference and event planning, administration of short-term candidates application process, recruiting, managing and mentoring mobilisation volunteers.
OMF is a church-planting organisation with a specific focus on East Asia and its people. We work alongside local churches amongst the materially and spiritually neglected people in urban and rural locations.
You can find out more about OMF on www.omf.org.uk

Chris & Sue Herman

Chris and Sue Herman have been working in Lanzarote since March 2006, to establish a solid base to the first English speaking evangelical church on the island. Chris also works part time with the language: teaching and translating, while Sue currently works full time as a wedding planner.
The island is traditionally Catholic. The other challenges are mainly related to the expat culture.
Chris and Sue are seeking to build a foundation for future generations as they reach out to English speakers. The work is hard and progress difficult. Nevertheless, the church has drawn a number of new converts, the core of a dozen or so residents is beginning to mature, and a leadership team is emerging to carry the work forward.
Sue and Chris also enjoy ministering to the many tourist visitors, who join in with the Sunday morning and midweek meetings.

New Forest Basics Bank has been running since 2004, working with local churches together. We work with Basics Bank as a collection station for them throughout the year and especially highlighting it at key times i.e Christmas and Harvest time.
